Abstract

child crime has led to criminal behavior due to cases of children who violate the law. Efforts to overcome the problem of child crime are carried out through police violations or not. However, several approaches in the prevention and management of child crime that occur today tend to take a repressive approach. This study aims to determine the efforts of fostering the orphanage against delinquent children, the type of research is qualitative. This research was conducted at the Fajar Amanah Social Home in Tualang District, Siak Regency, Riau Province. Moreover, the phenomenon of child detention that violates the law is still very prominent. Appropriate methods and approaches should be adopted to deal with child crime based on a comprehensive understanding of its causes. Therefore, this article aims to discuss the causes of child crime in terms of theories and concepts as well as the scope of law and ways to overcome child crime in Indonesia.
