Abstract

The problem in this research was students’ lack achievement in class VIII SMPN 3 Talang Muandau. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of school library utilization on students’ achievement class VIII SMPN 3 Talang Muandau Bengkalis Regency. This research used correlational research (causal correlation). The population in this research took all class VIII students at MTSN 3 Talang Muandau Bengkalis Regency with 29 students and they all as sample. Data collection technique used questionnaire and documentation. It explained that questionnaire and documentation used to get data about the influence of school library utilization on students’ achievement class VIII SMPN 3 Talang Muandau Bengkalis Regency. This research finding showed that there was strong enough relationship between school library utilization on students’ achievement class VIII SMPN 3 Talang Muandau Bengkalis Regency in 0.435 or 43.5% in range (0.40-0.599). It showed that when school library utilization was increased, it could give contribution to increase students’ achievement. Also, others 56.5% was influenced by others factors that did not include in this research.
