Abstract

The background in this research explained the lack of students class V learning achievement at elementary school 20 Lalang Sungai Apit Sub District Siak Regency Riau Province. The purpose in this research examined to know the implementation of cooperative learning strategy students team achievement division type could improve students’ learning achievement in Islamic education lesson at class V elementary school 20 Lalang Sungai Apit Sub District Siak Regency Riau Province. This research was action class research. The subject in this research was class V students at elementary school 20 Lalang Sungai Apit Sub District Siak Regency Riau Province. Data collection used students’ learning test result. Data analysis technique used descriptive technique; it was done in two circles. This research finding showed that students’ score average in pre circle was in 64.8%, first circle 74.2% and second circle in 83.2%. Meanwhile, for the percentage in students’ passing grade classically was got in pre circle 14.2%, in first circle 46.4%, and second circle 82.1%. Conclusion, the implementation of cooperative learning strategy students’ team achievement division type could improve students’ learning achievement in Islamic education lesson at class V elementary school 20 Lalang Sungai Apit Sub District Siak Regency Riau Province.
