Abstract

The research was carried out for 14 days starting in December 2021 until January 2022, in the Laboratory of the Fish Seed Center, Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Pekanbaru. This study aimed to knowing the effect of soaking time of ethanol extract of senduduk leaves for the treatment of fungal infections of Saprolegnia sp in catfish and to knowing the effect of ethanolic extract of senduduk leaves on survival of catfish seed. The materials used in this study were 150 catfish seeds with an average length of 4.8 cm/head, 95% ethanol solvent, extract of senduduk leaf, Saprolegnia sp from catfish eggs and pellet FF 999. The method used in this study was an experimental method using a completely randomized design 5 treatments an 3 replications, P1 soaking time of 2 hours, P2 4 hours, P3 6 hours, P4 8 hours and P5 10 hours with an extract dose of 100 ppm/L. The results of this study indicate the best in P5, with a recovery time of 7 days. The best survival rate in the P2 which was 90%. The results of water quality in this research whwn water temperature from 26-29 ºC, pH 5.49-6.85, dissolved oxigen 3.50-4.20 mg/l and ammonia from 0.83-3.27 mg/l.
