Abstract
This study aims to determine the Analysis of Student Learning Difficulties in Class VIII Biology Learning at YLPI Islamic Junior High School in Pekanbaru for the 2019/2020 Academic Year. This research was conducted in the even semester of the 2019/2020 academic year. This type of research is descriptive research. The sample of this research is the students of SMP ISLAM YLPI Pekanbaru with a total of 90 people who were taken using saturated samples or census. Data collection techniques in this study were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. This study uses 5 indicators consisting of psychological indicators, physical indicators, school environment indicators, family environment indicators, and community environment indicators. These indicators are divided into 12 sub indicators of student learning difficulties. The results of this study indicate that in this study there are five indicators that can affect student learning difficulties, namely, psychological indicators, physical indicators, school environment indicators, family environment indicators, and community environment indicators. Psychological indicators have the highest percentage value of 69.04% while the lowest percentage is the indicator of the family environment of 62.82% which affects student learning difficulties. All indicators of student learning difficulties are in the sufficient category, with details as follows: Physical indicators with a percentage of 68.55%, indicators of school environment with a percentage of 68.47%, family environmental factors with a percentage of 62.82%, and indicators of community environment with a percentage 66.49%.
