Abstract

The growth of traffic in indonesia is increasing especially on the Rengat-kuala cinaku road, trucks carrying goods carrying CPO oil, coal carriers and carriers of palm oil raises the problem of overloading which is determined from the heaviest load of the axle by looking at the weight of the load that is not in accordance with , it is necessary to conduct a road damage assessment due to an overload using the AASHTO and TRL methods. Overview of road damage due to overload on the Rengat-Kuala Cinaku road section with the AASHTO and TRL methods. To analyze the problems in completing this thesis, some data are used, while the data used are primary data, including traffic vehicle survey data for 24 (twenty four) hours for 4 (four) days starting from Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday do the calculation of vehicles that cross the Rengat-Kuala Cinaku road. And secondary data including vehicle axis configuration data or obtained on the vehicle's kir. From the analysis it can be concluded that the road will be damaged more quickly if the truck factor (TF) is more than (> 1), for the AASHTO method the figure is 2,668231021 while for the TRL method it is 3.144667913 so it can be said that the conditions on the Rengat-Kuala Lumpur road section My Chinese was damaged due to one of them being overloaded. And calculating the thickness of the pavement, the pavement thickness does not meet the standard if with traffic growth during the 10 year plan life from 2015-2025, the pavement does not meet. To anticipate damage caused by overloaded vehicles, it is hoped that the government can optimizing the performance of an integrated team in charge of supervising and curbing vehicles that exceed the equivalent standard, and also replacing the type of rigid pavement which has greater strength to withstand the loads that occur compared to using flexible pavement.
