Abstract

This research is a qualitative study to examine the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in accounting learning for class X and XI at Taruna Satria Junior High School, Pekanbaru. The focus of this research is to explain about the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in accounting subjects. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the 2013 curriculum that has been implemented by the teachers. as well as how the 2013 curriculum should run according to procedure and application, from this research is to provide a conclusion about how the implementation of the 2013 curriculum has an impact on the teaching process of educators in the classroom, learning motivation and student learning outcomes at Taruna Satria Junior High School Pekanbaru which is obtained from the perception of a sample which includes teachers and curriculum representatives, the principal in the school. This study used a qualitative approach with sampling using purposive sampling and snowball methods. Data collection methods used were observation, interviews, documentation. The data analyzed were the results of interviews with educators and students. The results showed that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in accounting learning for class X and XI at SMP Satria Pekanbaru has not been effective. Because there are still some teachers who do not understand and understand the process of implementing the 2013 curriculum, from those who do not understand the preparation of lesson plans, syllabus, assessment instruments, processing data that are given training in schools.
