Abstract

Online games are games that are often played by anyone today, from children, teenagers to adults. Online games are video games that are played over a computer network, using a personal computer or video game console. The existence of online games certainly makes changes in behavior in adolescents, including changes in bad behavior. This change in bad behavior must be watched out for by parents because it can become a delinquency that can be done by children. The purpose of this study was to determine how the influence of online games on the social changes of adolescents in the Siak Hulu internet cafe. The method used in this research is a quantitative method with a survey research type. The types and sources of data used are observations, interviews, and questionnaires given to 20 young internet cafe users as a place to play online games. The results of this study indicate that the level of influence of online games, namely variable X has an influence on adolescent social behavior, namely variable Y as much as 0.621 or 62.1%, there are as many as 37.9% level of change in adolescent social behavior which is influenced by other variables outside the independent variable. this research.
