Abstract
This study aims to analyze: 1) Characteristics of entrepreneurs and business profiles of Smoked fish, 2) Availability, procurement, use of raw materials and supporting materials for the Smoked fish agroindustry, 3) The non-financial and financial feasibilities of Smoked fish, 4) The sensitivity of the Smoked fish business. Case study methods was used in this study on Smoked fish Sedap Bakat Business in Air Dingin village Bukit Raya district Pekanbaru City Riau Province. This research was conducted for six months starting from January to June 2022. The respondents were chosen for entrepreneurs and four workers. Data analysis was performed by using quantitative and qualitative namely market and marketing, technical, environmental, legal and management aspects and financial aspects through four investment criteria (NPV, Net B/C, IRR dan Payback Period) and sensitivity analysis with swiching value approach. The results showed that the characteristics of entrepreneurs were in the productive age with 46 years old, 16 years of education or equivalent to undergraduate (S1), with 12 years of business experience and the four of family numbers. Smoked Fish Sedap Bakat business is small scale category and by using traditional technology in the production process. Moreover, Non-financial feasibility of market and marketing, technical, legal and management aspects for Smoked Fish Sedap Bakat business were feasible, but in the environmental aspects was not feasible because there is no provision of waste treatment management in the Smoked fish processing. While financially Smoked Fish Sedap Bakat business was feasible and capable to developed, because was profitable based on 4 investment criteria namely NPV value of Rp 50.086.397 > 0, Net B/C 1,34 > 1, IRR 21% > I (6,69%) and Payback Period of 4 years 1 months 5 days < age of the business (10 years). Based on the sensitivity analysis with the Swiching Value approach, Smoked fish Sedap Bakat business was more sensitive to the decrease in selling price with a NPV goes down to 90,65% and a decrease in Smoked fish production of 90,28% compared to an increase in operating costs of 82,36% on basic values.
