Abstract

he purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the duties of the sub-district head in coordinating community empowerment in the Sorek Satu sub-district, Pangkalan Kuras sub-district, Pelalawan district and to find out the obstacles of the implementation of the sub-district's duties in coordinating community empowerment in the Sorek Satu sub-district, Pangkalan Kuras district, Pelalawan district. This research uses quantitative methods and qualitative methods with descriptive type of research. Questionnaires as a tool for collecting data and conducting interviews as a comparison of the answers to the questionnaires. Respondents in this study consisted of the Head of the Sub-District, Secretary of the Sub-District, Head of Community Empowerment, Head of Village, LPM, RW, RT, totaling 40 samples. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the implementation of the duties of the sub-district head in coordinating community empowerment in the Sorek Satu sub-district, Pangkalan Kuras district, Pelalawan district can be categorized as quite good. The results of this study were obtained from 6 coordination indicators, namely Information, Synchronization, Providing Advice, Participation, Human Relations, Communication. The inhibiting factor of this research is the lack of community participation in conducting sub-district meetings about community empowerment activities, the sub-district only provides information through an announcement letter so that communication between the sub-district and the community is not very good.
