Abstract
This research has been carried out at the Biotechnology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution Km 11 No. 113 Marpoyan, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. The time used in this study was 4 (months) months from March - June 2018. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the interaction of BAP and NAA on the growth of barangan banana explants (Musa paradisiaca L.) in vitro. The design used in this study was a factorial Complete Randomized Design (CRD) using 2 factors. The first factor is the B factor (BAP Concentration) which consists of 4 levels of treatment namely 0, 1, 2, and 3 ppm. The second factor is the N factor (NAA concentration) which consists of 4 treatment levels namely 0, 1, 2, and 3 ppm. The parameters observed in this study were the percentage of explant life (%), the age of root emergence (days), number of roots (fruit), root length (cm), age of shoot emergence (days), number of shoots (fruit) and shoot length (cm) ). Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with BNJ further tests at the 5% level. The results showed the interaction of BAP and NAA significantly affected the parameters of the number of roots, root length with the best treatment found at BAP 1 ppm and NAA 2 ppm. Whereas for the observation parameters of shoot age, the number of shoots and the length of the best treatment shoots were found at BAP 2 ppm and NAA 2 ppm. The main effect of BAP concentration gives a real effect on all parameters, the best treatment is root age, number of roots and root length by giving BAP 1 ppm. While the percentage of explant life, age of shoots appeared, number of shoots and shoot length by giving BAP 2 ppm. The main effect of NAA concentration gives a real influence on all parameters of observation, the best treatment of explant life percentage, root age, root number, root length, age of shoots, number of shoots and shoot length with NAA 2 ppm.
