Abstract

This study aims to find out and describe the application of the principles of transparency and accountability to the management of village fund allocation in Teluk Village and rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency. This research is a type of qualitative research. The use of transparency indicators, accountability planning, accountability implementation, accountability administration of accountability reporting and accountability accountability as the basis used to determine the effectiveness of the application of transparency and accountability principles in Teluk Samak Village, Rangsang District, Meranti Islands Regency. The data source was obtained through interviews and documentation with the collection of documents provided by Teluk Samak Village. The data analysis technique is with a descriptive method. The results of this study found that the application of the principle of transparency to the management of village fund allocation in Teluk Samak Village has not been running effectively because there is no notice board and there is no complaint address. In addition, it was also found that the application of the principle of accountability had not been effective because there was no preparation of teaching assistance books, reports on the realization of unreported activities, sectoral programs, regional programs and other programs that entered the village were not on target.
