Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the volleyball smash results at the junior son volleyball club Pekanbaru Pekanbaru Riau. The method in this study is a quantitative method with a total sampling technique with a total sample of 20 people. This type of research is a correlational study by comparing the measurement results of two different variables. The instrument used in this study was a leg muscle explosive power test (vertical jump) and a volleyball smash test. Based on the results of statistical analysis it is known that the r count <r table (0.188 <0.444) with a very low level of association, while the magnitude of the contribution of the explosive power of leg muscles to the volleyball smash results is 3.5%. The results of this study can be concluded that there was no contribution of leg muscle explosive power to the volleyball smash results in junior volleyball club junior son of Pekanbaru Riau.
