Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the contribution of hand-eye coordination and arm muscle strength to the lower serve results in volleyball extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Batang Cenaku. The type of this research is multiple correlation. The population and sample in this study were volleyball extracurricular students at SMPN 1 Batang Cenaku, totaling 12 people. The research instrument used was a test of hand-eye coordination and a test of arm muscle strength and a volleyball lower serve test. Based on the results of the research, the conclusions obtained in this research are: (1) There is a contribution of eye-hand coordination to the bottom serve in volleyball extracurricular volleyball students at SMPN 1 Batang Cenaku by 79.76%, (2) There is a contribution of arm muscle strength to bottom serve in volleyball extracurricular volleyball students at SMPN 1 Batang Cenaku by 47.61%, (3) There is a contribution of eye and hand coordination and arm muscle strength to the bottom serve in volleyball extracurricular volleyball students at SMPN 1 Batang Cenaku by 80 ,28%.
