, Kredit, Macet x Abstract In resolving the problem of bad credit agreements, it is not necessarily carried out through the courts, the court is only the last resort taken in resolving the problem of bad loans, but also efforts made outside the court provided by financial institutions, one of which is Bank BNI, but in the settlement carried out by Bank BNI with creditors does not always run smoothly, in this study there are several obstacles and processes carried out in making efforts to resolve bad loans at Bank BNI Pekanbaru. The main problem in this study is how to settle bad loans on housing loans (KPR) at Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Pekanbaru City. What are the Inhibiting Factors in the Settlement of Bad Loans on Home Ownership Loans (KPR) at Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Pekanbaru City. The type of research used is included in empirical research, Empirical Legal Research is a legal research method that uses empirical facts taken from human behavior. Meanwhile, judging from its nature, this research is descriptive. Settlement of Bad Loans on Home Ownership Loans (KPR) at Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Pekanbaru City is through 4 (four) stages, the first is a peaceful settlement stage, the second stage is development, the third stage is credit rescue Credit rescue carried out by rescheduling ( rescheduling), reconditioning and restructuring, all of which are carried out within a period of 12 (twelve) months. The fourth stage is the execution of the object of credit guarantees, but the settlement of bad loans does not always run smoothly and several obstacles are encountered for the Obstacles to the Settlement of Bad Credit Against Home Ownership Loans (KPR) at Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) Pekanbaru City faced by banks and customers in settlement of non-performing loans first Debtors with bad intentions second Debtors experiencing economic problems, where debtors cannot manage their business so that they experience failure which causes debtors to find it difficult to fulfill their obligations to resolve credit problems to banks, third pandemic covid-19
