Abstract

Oil production from a well can be done in two ways, namely the natural spray method flow ) and artificial lift ( artificial elevator ). In the natural burst method, the pressure in the reservoir still has the ability to flow reservoir fluid to the surface, because of the high reservoir pressure . Artificial lift is used when the reservoir pressure is no longer able to produce natural bursts. One method of artificial lifting is to use ESP ( Electric Submersible pumps ). ESP is a series of centrifugal pumps consisting of several units that are used to lift fluid from the well to the surface. The selection of ESP as one of the artificial lifting techniques is of course based on technical and economic considerations. Stages are a combination of one impeller and one diffuser . When the improper installation of the number of Stages can cause a reduction in the reservoir pressure capacity so that this results in a decrease in the ability of the ESP pump to produce reservoir fluid to the surface . So , the researcher will analyze the parameters of the number of stages and pump setting depth using the Prosper simulator and then calculate the production flow using the IPR curve. The sensitivity results with the Prosper simulator on changes in stages and pump setting depth on pump capacity from a predetermined scenario show that at stages 100 – stages 135 Qliquid 1651.8 stb/day – 2472.3 stb/day at pump setting depth 2200 ft – 2800 ft Qliquid 2170.3 stb /day - 2642.1 stb/day. In this study, we use a pump at a minimum rate of 1000 stb/day-3000 stb/day. From the sensitivity results in the scenario, the capacity at stages and pump setting depth is still in optimum condition.
