Abstract

Islamic leadership was an activity to lead, guide, and showing the path that Allah pleased. The role of a leader was tested and very needed to motivate the agent to be more productive and spirit. The productive agent would increase company income. With the role of a leader and high motivation, an agent could keep the company income stable. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of Islamic leadership and work motivation on agent performance at PT. Assurance Takaful Family RO. Riau Agency Pekanbaru. The subject in this research was agent at PT. Assurance Takaful Family RO. Riau Agency Pekanbaru with 44 persons, sampling technique used total sampling, and data collection process used questionnaire through field research. Research method used descriptive quantitative research, and data computation process used statistic product and service solution (SPSS 20.0) for windows. The result from partial test could be known that Islamic leadership variable score with tcounted > ttable or 2.967 < 1.682 with significant level 0.05 and sig score was 0.005<0.05, it showed that there was any significant positive influence between Islamic leadership on agent performance at PT. Assurance Takaful Family RO. Riau Agency Pekanbaru. In addition, partial test work motivation result with tcounted > ttable or 3.068 > 1.682, and significant score was 0.004<0.05. It could be concluded that there was any positive influence between work motivation and agent performance at PT. Assurance Takaful Family RO. Riau Agency Pekanbaru. Simultaneously, there was any positive and significant influence between Islamic leadership and work motivation on agent performance at PT. Assurance Takaful Family RO. Riau Agency Pekanbaru. And determination coefficient result in 0.628 or 62.8% agent performance at Assurance Takaful Family RO. Riau Agency Pekanbaru was influenced by Islamic leadership and work motivation. Furthermore, PT. Assurance Takaful Family RO. Riau Agency Pekanbaru should always increase agent performance by implementing concept from Islamic leadership and work motivation principle to all agents that work at PT. Assurance Takaful Family RO. Riau Agency Pekanbaru.
