Abstract

Analysis of production process control is important for companies to minimize defective/damaged products and maintain product quality so that they can compete in the market. This study focuses on controlling the production process of sago flour and whether it can minimize damaged products at the Charly Sago Refinery. The research method used is descriptive quantitative. To get the data needed in this study is to make direct observations to the object of research. Quantitative analysis aims to determine the level and causes of product damage analyzed using SPC (Statistical Process Control) in the form of checksheets, histograms, Pareto diagrams and fishbones. The results showed that the classification of damage was: tual damaged, starch dirty, damaged during transfer and damaged during drying. The highest damage occurs in damaged tuals. Factors causing damage can be categorized in terms of quality control, tools and facilities, and construction errors. The conclusion of this study is that the control of the sago flour production process at the Charly Sago Refinery can minimize damaged products.
