Abstract
Cancer patients experience several physical and psychological impacts, one of which is experiencing anxiety about death in cancer patients. Attacment to God which is characterized by being able to give peace by getting closer to God is one way that can reduce the anxiety of death suffered by cancer patients. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between attachment to God and death anxiety in cancer patients. The subjects of this study amounted to 60 people consisting of 21 men and 39 women cancer patients who were in Pekanbaru. Sampling technique using Snawball Sampling. The data collection method used the Muslim Spiritual Attachment Scale (M-SAS) scale adapted by Siregar (2021) which amounted to 16 items and the death anxiety scale from Huriyah (2016) which amounted to 15 items. Data were analyzed using Spearman Range Order correlation. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between all dimensions of attachment to God with death anxiety in cancer patients. So it can be said that the hypothesis in this study was rejected. Thus, attachment to God has no role in death anxiety.
