Abstract

This study aims to analyze the value of women's sensuality on Instagram social media in the @hotmanparisofficial account in the form of post photos. Value is something that gives meaning in life, which provides a reference, starting point and purpose in life. According to the Big Indonesian Dictionary (KBBI) Sensuality is something in the form of a body, not a spiritual one. That is, sensuality is a term regarding sexual relations (negative). The main element of sensuality is more synonymous with women as objects capable of providing their own attractiveness to the opposite sex and as a medium for media, especially social media, as a means of getting profit. This study uses a qualitative method that aims to explain the phenomenon in depth by using sampling techniques to find subjects according to the criteria that researchers expect to get answers to questions and using descriptive research to conclude information about a symptom that is described as it was at the time of the study. The data collection techniques in this study are several techniques that are interconnected with each other, namely: semiotic analysis, documentation and observation. The subject of this research is the social media Instagram account @ hotmanparisofficial. Hotman Paris makes use of the female figure by doing commodification through visible body images. The visible body images are the result of a selection made by Hotman Paris. men are the main segmentation, by playing the female figure as the main object.
