Abstract

The marriage recorded at the Religious Affairs Office (KUA) of Tualang District, Siak Regency, which was carried out by a person with the status of a widower, turned out to be someone who lived in Perawang Village, which is one part of the area in Tualang District, Siak Regency. Of the people who have performed marriages with the status of widowers who live in Perawang Village, researchers have identified 3 people who at their marriage brought children who were in their teens. The problem in this study is how self-acceptance in adolescents who have stepmothers in Perawang Village. This research uses qualitative methods with a qualitative type of research d esscriptive Qualitative. Data collection techniques are carried out in a trianggulation (combined) manner, namely interviews and observations, data analysis is inductive, and qualitative research results emphasize meaning more than generalization. The conclusion of self-acceptance in adolescents who have stepmothers in Perawang Village that the three subjects did not feel any rejection from themselves of respect for their stepmothers and for the social environment, namely friendship with their peers, this is not a problem. The advice is for teenagers who have a stepmother to further increase the potential that exists in themselves and for stepmothers who have a teenage stepdaughter to play a more role in contributing to the development of the teenager
