Abstract

implementers of the empowerment program that will be studied in Muara Uwai village, Bangkinang opposite sub-district are business programs belonging to the BUMDES village, namely the fields of savings and loans, trade, and agriculture such as gardening, empowerment through programs that through BUMDES can help the community to be more empowered and help the economy. The benefits obtained by many parties from the empowerment program are partly used for road repairs that still need to be repaired, often empowerment programs fail because the role of the community is considered not so important in decision making and evaluation. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, which provides an overview of community empowerment in the economic field through Bumdes. In this study, primary data was obtained from the village government through observation and interviews The results of this study are the forms of business managed by the Muara Uwai bumdes are savings and loans, refill water, sharia credit, distributors that empower the community, namely Pamdes which aims to provide clean water needs for the village community of Muara Uwai and support the creation of village community welfare Keywords: Empowerment, Economy , Public
