Abstract

This research aims to analyze: (1) household characteristics. (2) Characteristics demand for household cooking oil. (3) Influential Factors on demand for household cooking oil. This research was carried out for 6 months starting from June to December 2019 in the District Tapung Hilir Kampar Regency using survey method. Sample taken based on Stratified Random Sampling, to 96 Housewives. Data were analyzed descriptively and using linear regression analysis double. The results of the study show the characteristics of housewives average productive age (40 years), number of family members as many as 4 people, household income of Rp. 5,533,125. Average expenses for purchasing cooking oil for bulk types amounted to 15.63%.(15 people) and for packaged cooking oil 84.38%. (81 people). The work of the head of the family is more dominant as a farmer by 35.42% and the work of housewives is more dominant as a farmer by 29.17%. Factor The dominant factor affecting the demand for household cooking oil is variable number of family members. The results of the regression estimation show that Factors that significantly influence the demand for home cooking oil The household variables are consumer tastes, number of family members and income variables household.
