Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the environmental compliance monitoring mechanism by the Department of Environment and the Success of Pekanbaru City against private hospitals in Pekanbaru City. The research method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative research method, with the assessment indicators being the Supervision Preparation Stage, the Supervision Implementation Stage and the Post-Supervision Stage. Types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data through data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis is used, namely by analyzing the ongoing process of a social phenomenon and obtaining a complete picture of the process; and analyzing the meaning behind the information, data and processes of a social phenomenon. From the results of data collection carried out either by interviews, observation and documentation, the data is analyzed to identify and answer research problems so that a conclusion is made which is the result of the research. Based on the research results, it is known that the first indicator is the Preparation Stage, namely the preparation of SPT, preparation of monitoring reports, cameras, hospital environmental documents and regulations related to environmental compliance. Furthermore, the Supervision Implementation Phase, conducts meetings with the hospital, discusses environmental documents and checks the environmental permits owned by the hospital, has a field review of both waste management, waste management and checking noise originating from ganset machines owned by the hospital. Meanwhile, in the Post-Supervision Stage, the supervisory official makes a report on the results of the supervision that is signed by the hospital and the agency to be reported to the Head of the Pekanbaru City Environment and Sanitation Service.
