Abstract
Research conducted by this writer aims to determine whether the application of accounting in the Village Government is appropriate based on the General Acceptable Accounting Principles. This research was conducted at the Head Office of Tambang Village, Tambang District, Tambang Regency. The research design in this study is in the form of a qualitative method because this research is in the form of a researcher 's interpretation of a phenomenon, then this research is descriptive supported by relevant theories. Primary data and secondary data are the types and sources of data in this study. Direct interviews and documentation are data collection techniques conducted by the author in research. The results showed that the application of accounting in the Village Government of Tambang, Tambang District, Kampar Regency was not fully in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
