Abstract
Marriage is a physical and spiritual bond between a man and a woman as husband and wife to form an eternal and eternal family based on the One Godhead. The provisions regarding marriage in Islam have been discussed in detail up to the discussion of marriage which is forbidden in Islam. In the Komang Island community, they have their own rules and customs that are different from the marriage of the community in general and these differences tend to cause conflict among the community and traditional leaders regarding the permissibility or impossibility of this marriage. The marriage system according to the customary law is exogamy, endogamy, and eleutherogamy. The people of Komang Island Village are included in exogamy, that is, a man is prohibited from marrying a woman who comes from the same tribe as him. In Islam, ethnic marriage is never prohibited, either in the Qur'an or in the Hadith, which is the lineage of the mother as a factor for not getting married. The research method used in this research is qualitative research which aims to describe the actual situation of what happened in the research location through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the research that have been done show that tribal marriages in Komang island Village are allowed, but must be able to accept the consequences, namely being alienated by the community until expelled from the village. both in the Koran and the Hadith, which is the lineage of the mother as a factor for not getting married. The research method used in this research is qualitative research which aims to describe the actual situation of what happened in the research location through interviews, observation, and documentation.
