Abstract
This study aims to produce teaching materials in the form of a biology module assisted by QR code on the conservation of Asian Tapirs (Tapirus indicus Desmarest) in Riau Province. This research is a type of research and development (Research and Development) adapting the ADDIE model. This research consisted of two phases, namely the conservation of Asian Tapirs and module development. Data were collected from November to March 2021 at the Center for Natural Resources Conservation (BBKSDA), WWF Indonesia Foundation, SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru, SMA Negeri 7 Pekanbaru and SMA Negeri 8 Pekanbaru. The subjects in this study were as many as 10 students from each school with a total of 30 students, while the subjects in the collection of Asian Tapir conservation data consisted of 2 members of BBKSDA and 3 members of WWF. The research method uses interviews, validation sheets and response questionnaires. The results of the research for the conservation of Asian Tapirs show that the BBKSDA undertakes efforts to conserve Asian Tapirs by monitoring, operating snares, preventing hunting, protecting habitat, while WWF conserving Asian Tapirs by maintaining the availability of tapir feed, where the two agencies refer to the Indonesian Minister of Forestry Regulation Number: P.57 / Menhut-II / 2013 concerning Strategy and Action Plan for Tapir Conservation for 2013-2022. Meanwhile, the results of module development research indicate that the quality of the feasibility of the module teaching materials is based on the results of validation by material experts with an average percentage of 100% (very feasible). The results of validation by learning experts get an average percentage of 93.49% (very feasible), and the results of validation by media experts get an average percentage of 94.44% (very feasible), the results of teacher validation get an average percentage of 95.48 % (very feasible). The results of trials with students get an average percentage of 95,10% also with the (very good) category. Based on these categories, it can be concluded that the biology module teaching materials assisted by QR code are suitable for use.
