Abstract
Evaluation Of Social Service Policies And Cemeteries in Pekanbaru City in Dealing With Homeless People And Beggars In Pekanbaru City ABSTRACT By: Rindah Widodo 167310011 The background of this recarch is that there are still many homeless people and beggars in the city of new week due to insufficient daily needs. Kota baru’s social services office in conducting skills training in the form of sewing, workshop and haircut skills, but the results have not been fully successful. This research was conducted in the city of new week, riau province. The purpose of this study is to determine the policies of the social services of the new week city in overcoming the homeless and beggars in the new week city and to find out the obstacles or constraints experienced, by the social services and cemeteries in the new week city in overcoming homeless people and beggars. This type of research is descriptive, namely a study to obtain a qualitative description and will be dominated by words, setences and descriptions and rarely uses numerical data, althought it does not rule out the possibility of displaying tables or graphs to support the completeness of the data. This research data collection method is observation, interview, and documentation, data analysis is done by data reduction and conclusion. The results of this study show 1. In dealing with homeless people and beggars, the social service of pekanbaru city has not been fully maximized beacause there are still many homeless people and beggars on public roads 2. The inhibiting factor in overcoming homelessness and begars is changing and inseting the mindset of homeless and beggars and it takes a long time
