Abstract

This study aims to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of coffee grounds and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer on the growth and production of celery plants. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of 2 factors, namely the first factor coffee grounds (K) consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 32.5 g/polybag, 65 g/polybag, 97.5 g/polybag. The second factor of NPK 16:16:16 (N) fertilizer consisted of 4 treatment levels, namely 0, 1.2 g/polybag, 2.4 g/polybag and 3.6 g/polybag. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, number of tillers, age of harvest, wet weight of plants, dry weight of plants and volume of roots. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of coffee grounds and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer affected the number of leaves, number of tillers, plant wet weight, plant dry weight and root volume. The main effect of coffee grounds and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer had an effect on all observation parameters. The best treatment was the provision of 97.5 g/polybag coffee grounds and 16:16:16 NPK fertilizer 3.6 g/polybag.
