Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect on the growth and production of shallots given coconut pulp and NPK fertilizer 16:16:16. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City. For four months starting from March to June 2021. This study used a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the dose of Coconut Dregs (A) consisting of 4, namely 0, 125, 250, and 370 grams/polybag and the second factor is NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely: 0, 0.75, 1.5 and 2.25 grams/ polybag. Parameters observed were number of leaves, plant height of shallots, age of tuber formation, age of harvest, number of bulbs per clump, wet weight of bulbs per clump, dry weight of bulbs, and tuber weight loss. The data were analyzed statistically and followed by the Honest Significant Difference Test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results of the study concluded that the interaction of coconut pulp and NPK 16:16:16 fertilizer had a significant effect on the wet weight of tubers per clump and tuber weight loss. The best treatment was a combination of coconut pulp 375 grams/polybag and NPK fertilizer 0.75 grams/polybag (A3N1). The main effect of real coconut pulp on all observation parameters. The best treatment was with a dose of 375 grams/polybag (A3). The main effect of NPK 16:16:16 was significant for all observation parameters. The best treatment is with a dose of 1.5 grams/polybag (N2).
