Abstract

The aim of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries to provide counseling is to always increase public knowledge in production and development of livestock in Pekanbaru City, especially in Marpoyan Damai District. Agricultural Development Aimed at Increasing Population and increasing the sale of livestock so that it is able to provide and meet protein needs and increase the livestock population requires an appropriate technology use that must be applied by the government and farmers as business actors. The purpose of this study is to analyze and explain the performance of organizations in the Animal Husbandry Sector in improving the welfare of farmers. Agriculture provides agricultural counseling to the community or cattle business. The method used is descriptive and quantitative methods, a sample of 31 people. Data collection techniques were questionnaires and interviews, as well as descriptive and quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of research and discussion of the analysis of organizational performance in the Animal Husbandry Department of the Agriculture and Fisheries Service of Pekanbaru City in controlling and eradicating disease in Pekanbaru City, it can be concluded from this research that organizational performance in the Animal Husbandry Sector, Agriculture and Fisheries Service Office of Pekanbaru City in the results of the responses respondents, research observations and interviews in the study are still in the fairly good category because that means there are still some weaknesses / deficiencies in controlling and eradicating livestock diseases in Pekanbaru City due to the lack of implementation of socialization and counseling activities for the community.
