Abstract

This research is titled Bedekeh Ritual Tradition in Pancur Village, Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency. The problem discussed in this study is how the Tradition of Bedekeh Medicine Ritual and what art elements are contained in the Tradition of Bedekeh Medical Ritual in Pancur Village Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency. This research aims to collect information and data on how to implement the Tradition of Bedekeh Medical Ritual in Pancur Village, Rupat Subdistrict, Bengkalis Regency, then the data collected by means or methods of observation, interview, and documentation.The place of the implementation of The Ritual of Treatment is performed in the place of shamans or sisakit depending on the agreement of both parties, the implementation of Bedekeh Treatment Ritual in the evening because the shaman believes that the night is easier to summon the subtle creatures.Mediators made narsource there are 4 people consisting of: 1) Bolt (shaman), 2) Apen (music player), 3) Susi (sisakit), 4) Ayok or his real name is Siti Aisah (sisakit).Bedekeh Treatment Ritual requires a considerable amount of offerings such as: 1). Boetih, 2). Sleigh,3). Amal /fan (kite), 4). Slave House, 5). Goring flour, 6).Pulut, 7).Cooked chicken eggs, 8).Yellow pulut, 9).Candles, 10).Turmeric rice, 11).Tepak, 12).Salt acid, 13).Long cloth, 14).Janur, 15).Kohok, 16).Mat, 17).Shirt, 18).Pot , 19). Buyung. The purpose in Bedekeh treatment ritual is the healing of the sisakit most importantly. Clothes commonly used in bedekeh medical rituals are clothes that have been chosen by delicate beings through the dream of the shaman. In this study jenis and data sources obtained using secondary and primary data sources. The method used is a descriptive method of analysis that needs to be observed. The theory used in this study is soedarsono theory (2002:126).From the results of the study the author concluded in the Tradition of Bedekeh Medical Ritualhas unsur art contained in the ritual of medicine Bedekeh is an element of motion and sound art.
