Abstract
This study aims to describe the role of parents as learning facilitators for third grade students. This research is a qualitative research with the type of case study research. The main data sources involved three parents and three students. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation. The validity of the data used triangulation credibility test, namely source triangulation, technical triangulation and time triangulation. Data analysis using Miles and Huberman with data reduction stages, data presentation and conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the role of parents as facilitators of student learning is first, to provide a complete learning space. The completeness of the study room includes the availability of a study room, the availability of study tables and chairs and the availability of lighting. Second, providing complete learning information media. The completeness of learning information media includes the availability of learning package books, learning support books, the availability of gadgets and the availability of internet networks. Third, provide complete learning equipment. Completeness of learning equipment includes stationery and notebooks. From the results of this study it can be concluded that parents have tried to provide student learning facilities even though there are still some learning facilities that have not been provided optimally.
