Abstract
Produced water contains chemical properties in the form of salt, oil and fat as well as inorganic and organic compounds that can damage the environment if not treated. production is getting better by doing several tests of turbidity, Oil and grease and TDS and water pH. This study used crab shell chitosan that had been processed using a solution of 3.5% NaOH, 50% and HCl. The research process of making chitosan from crab shells is divided into 4, namely preparation, deproteination, demineralization, deacetylation with small-scale testing. Based on the test results of a coagulationflocculation process using a coagulant from crab shell chitosan can reduce some of the tests carried out by Turbidity which was initially 6.08 NTU down to 2.11 NTU with the addition of 1 gram of chitosan, 1.5 grams; 2.18 NTU, 2 grams; 2.08 NTU, then Oil and grease from the process before the jar-test of 7 mg/L decreased to <5 mg/L at the addition of a concentration of 1, 1.5 and 2 grams, then Total Dissolve Solid which was originally 1789 mg/L L decreased to 1 gram of chitosan 1738 mg/L, 1.5 grams; 1744 mg/L, 2 grams; 1720 mg/L, then the Power of Hydrogen (pH) whose initial value was 9.21 after the addition of 1 gram of chitosan decreased to 9.02, 1.5 grams;8.65, 2 grams;8,26
