Abstract

This research aims to find out of some factors which causing the students are difficult to learn mathematics. To achieve the aim of this research, the researcher conducted this research entitled “ An Analysis on the Factors Causing Mathematics Learning Difficulties of Grade 7 Students at MTs Masmur Pekanbaru.The research was conducted in Descriptive Methods. The samples were the 52 students in seventh grade at MTs Masmur Pekanbaru, Academic years of 2019/2020. Questionnaire were done in collecting the data. The data analysis represented the internal and external factors of learning difficulties counted by the percentage of questionnaires’ results from the 52 students in seventh grade at MTs Masmur Pekanbaru, and the data analysis showed the internal and external factors of learning difficulties. The findings of the research and the study in analysis of causal factors in the mathematics learning of causal factors int mathematics learning difficulties of grade 7 students at MTs Masmur Pekanbaru showed that the majority of students gave difficulties to learn mathematics. The dominant factor in contributing mathematics learning difficulties is social media, it proves that era development is impacted the education.
