Abstract

Paikem was an abbreviation of active, innovative, creative, effective and happy learning. Paikem was an approach that allowed students to carry out various activities to develop their skills, attitude and understanding with an emphasis on learning by doing, including the environment utilization to create an interesting, happy and effective learning. Learning difficulties was a condition where an achievement competency could not be achieved well according to minimum standard criteria, generally, this condition was caused by biologist and psychologist factors, particularly connected to brain disfunction that called as difficulties in specific learning, and psychologist factor that showed learning difficulties referred to low motivation and interest. This research took place at junior high school 004 Karyamukti village, Rimba Melintang subdistrict, Rokan Hilir District. The purpose of this research was to know the effect of implementing Paikem Learning Model toward students’ learning difficulties in Islamic education subject at Grade VIII of Junior High School 004 Rimba melintang. This research used quantitative design and specifically used correlational quantitative that focused on the effect of both objects. The subject in this research was 64 students at grade VIII of Junior High School 4 Rimba Melintang, academic year 2019-2020. Data collecting technique in this research used questionnaire and documentation. Research findings showed that Paikem Model implementation gave effect on students' learning difficulties in Islamic education subject. This finding, according to anova t-table showed probability score in 0,000 that was caused the significant score lower that 0,05. Thus, the hypothesis was accepted. It meant that there was an effect of implementing Paikem learning model toward students' learning difficulties in Islamic education subject at Junir High School 004 Rimba Melintang-Rokan Hilir District.
