Abstract

This study aims to determine and explain the optimization of the task of the Ujung Batu Community Health Center in providing counseling to the community of Ujung Batu District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The research indicators used by the author in this study are 5 (five), namely: Education Level, Socio-Economic Level, Customs, Community Trust and Time Availability in the Community. This type of research is located in Ujungbatu, Ujungbatu District, Rokan Hulu Regency. The research method is descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. Where to conduct direct research at Ujungbatu Health Center so that existing problems can be based on actual facts when researching using descriptive survey research type with interviews, observation and documentation as data collection tools. The technique of taking research informants was carried out using purposive sampling, namely the method of determining informants who were determined deliberately on the basis of certain criteria or considerations, namely through people who were directly involved in the duties of the health center in providing counseling to the community of Ujung Batu, Rokan Hulu Regency. Based on the research conducted, the results showed that the health center counseling was still not optimal, seen from the indicators of education level, there were several officers in the extension who did not carry out their duties and functions properly because they did not understand it in their understanding in the extension. Judging from the socio-economic indicators, in this case at the socio-economic level, the people of Ujung Batu prefer to earn a living for their daily lives rather than participating in extension activities. Judging from the indicators of Customs, which is the obstacle in delivery is that people do not trust doctors' treatment so they prefer to go to village midwives.
