Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze how the influence of customer trust on the decision to buy Vans shoes (Case Study on Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Islamic University of Riau Who Make Online Purchases Through Instagram Social Media). The population in this study were 40 respondents. The sampling technique used was Non Probability Sampling with the census method, the sample used was 40 respondents. The research data was obtained from questionnaires (primary) and direct interviews with related parties according to the research objectives. The analysis technique uses instrument test, simple linear regression, determination test and t test (partial). The results showed that customer trust had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions for Vans shoes (Case Study on Students of the Faculty of Economics, Islamic University of Riau Who Make Online Purchases Through Instagram Social Media). While the results of the coefficient of determination (R²) obtained a value of 0.723 or 72.3% and the rest is influenced by other variables that are not discussed further in this study.
