Abstract

Village Government Communication Strategy in Object Development Efforts Wisata Danau Naga Sakti, Siak Regency Firdaus NPM: 139110018 The development of the tourism sector is basically an effort and effort to develop the tourism potential of an area. This development effort must be in line with the development of tourism services and facilities in order to obtain optimal results. However, this tourist attraction is considered not optimal in its management. This can be proven by the level of visits to tourist objects. The number of visitors who come to this tourist attraction tends to be incidental, which is busy only on certain days. The purpose of this research is to find out and get an overview of the communication strategy of the village government in the development of a tourist attraction for Danau Naga Sakti, Siak Regency and its inhibiting factors. A communication strategy which is a combination of communication planning with communication management to achieve predetermined goals. This communication strategy must be able to show how the operation should be practically carried out, in the sense that the approach can be different from time to time depending on the situation and conditions. The research method used is a qualitative method. From the research results, it is known that the communication strategy carried out by the village government in promoting the tourism object of Danau Naga Sakti, Siak Regency, is said to be still not optimally implemented, seen from the level of tourist visits which is still not significant. There are several promotional communication strategies that the author observes are very helpful in the process of promoting the Danau Naga Sakti tourism object, Siak Regency, such as: making websites on the internet. As for the factors that influence the village government in promoting the tourism object of Danau Naga Sakti, Siak Regency, the writer divides it into supporting factors and inhibiting factors for the village government itself. The supporting factors are: openness among employees, the availability of supporting facilities and infrastructure, good team work, good relations with the mass media and the private sector, and technological advances. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are: there is still a minimum budget allocated by the local government and the support from the local community who is still not helpful in this promotion process.
