Abstract

This study aims to determine student learning motivation in online learning at the Biology Education Study Program at the Islamic University of Riau for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. This research is a descriptive quantitative research. The method used in this study is a survey method. Data was collected using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The sample in this study was 105 students, taken from 2018 and 2019 Biology students. The questionnaire used consisted of 30 statements. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the learning motivation of biology students class 2018 and 2019 in online learning, the intrinsic motivation indicator is obtained by a percentage of 76.05% in the sufficient category and the percentage of extrinsic motivation is 79.16% with a high category. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that motivation student learning in online learning of the Biology Education Study Program of the Islamic University of Riau for the 2020/2021 academic year, has a percentage of 77.60% in the sufficent category.
