Abstract
Analysis is a thinking activity to describe a whole into components so that they can recognize the signs of the components, their relationship to each other and their respective functions in a guided whole. The traditional dance of Gigit Losuang is a traditional dance that is in the village of Ranah Sungkai in the District XII of Koto Kampar which is almost extinct. This is what makes the writer interested in analyzing the Gigit Losuang dance in Ranah Sungkai Village, XII Koto Kampar District, Bangkinang Kampar Riau. The problem in this research is how to analyze the traditional dance of Gigit Losuang in Ranah Sungkai Village, XIII Koto Kampar Bangkinang, Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the analysis of the traditional dance of Gigit Losuang in Ranah Sungkai Village, XIII Koto Kampar District. Bangkinang Kampar Riau. In this study using descriptive analysis research using qualitative data, this research is carried out on an approach to the object under study by obtaining accurate data, regarding a particular subject or area, because the data obtained are data found directly in the field. in the data collection process that can be used in this study is a system of observation, interviews, documentation. The theory that I use to analyze the traditional dance of Gigit Losuang is Soedarsono's (1977) theory. The results of this study concluded that the traditional dance of Gigit Losuang in Ranah Sungkai Village, XIII Koto Kampar District. Bangkinang Kampar Riau has a movement consisting of back and forth motion, musing motion, martial arts movement, the music uses a gong musical instrument, uses an all-black dress with a red headband, straight line dance floor design, circle lines and curved lines.
