Abstract
The assessment system in education is seen based on the scores obtained by students. As for each subject in the school has a Grade Point Average (GPA) that must be achieved by students. Students do a variety of ways to get the value to reach the GPA so as not to fail. Cheating is one way that many students do to get high grades. Cheating is an act of cheating committed by individuals in various ways in order to achieve a goal, such as by looking at friends' answers and making small notes during exams or tests. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a relationship between Self Efficacy and cheating behavior in junior high school students in Kandis District. Subjects in this study amounted to 100 people. Collecting data using a self-efficacy scale of 30 items with a reliability of α = 0.887 and a cheating behavior scale of 28 items with reliability = 0.848 . The data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation with the results showing a correlation value of -.653 with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.05) it can be concluded that there is a significant negative relationship between Self Efficacy and cheating behavior, where the higher Self Efficacy in students, the lower the cheating behavior carried out by students, and vice versa.
