Abstract

This study aims to investigate whether there is an effect of the recitation method on student achievement motivation in learning Islamic Studies at SMAN 2 Lubuk Dalam in Siak Regency. This is a quantitative correlational study. The subject of the study is the students at SMAN 2 Lubuk Dalam and the object of the study is the effect of recitation method on student achievement motivation in learning Islamic Studies at SMAN 2 Lubuk Dalam in Siak Regency. The population of the study consists of 102 students. The data collection techniques of the study are questionnaires and documentation. Based on the data analysis, it is found that there is an effect of recitation method on student achievement motivation in learning Islamic Studies at SMAN 2 Lubuk Dalam in Siak Regency. From the results of simple linear regression analysis, it is known that the significance value is 0.002, as 0.002 < 0.05 so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. The results of the study show that 19.4% of the achievement motivation is influenced by the recitation method, while the remaining 80.6% is influenced by other factors. The magnitude of the effect of recitation method on student achievement motivation is 0.194 or 19.4%, which is included in the low category because it is in the range of 0.00-0.199 in the correlation coefficient interpretation table.
