Abstract

Self-regulated learning is an activity where an individual student learns actively as a regulator of his own learning process. Starting from planning, monitoring progress, controlling and also evaluating how the results are, in order to find out how the next strategy is both cognitive, motivational and behavioral. This study aims to determine the difference in self-regulated learning between students who work and students who do not work. The number of subjects in this study were 370 students of the Islamic University of Riau. The data collection technique in this study used a cluster sampling technique. The data collection uses a self-regulated learning scale which amounts to 32 items, the data analysis used is the Independent Sample t-test. Based on the results of the analysis, it is found that there is no difference in self-regulated learning between students who work and students who do not work with a significance value of 0.703 (p > 0.05). Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that the hypothesis is rejected, in other words there is no difference in self-regulated learning between students who work and students who do not work.
