Abstract
The purpose of this study is to comparing the performance of islamic banking government ownership and Private banks. The population and sample consists of 7 Islamic banking, only 5 banks were selected to be the sample. The banks are 2 Islamic banking government ownership bank and 3 Islamic banking private ownership banks. The period of this study is from 2009 to 2013. Data are taken from the bank’s annual reports. This study using panel data and using pooled Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), random effect and fixed effect analysis. The results showed Islamic banking of private ownership banks is better than Islamic banking of government, mainly operational cost, assets quality and management. This study also shows that DPEM, PINJAM and ASET plays a significant factor in explaining the performance of Islamic banking in Indonesia banks.
