Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the carrying capacity of the laboratory infrastructure, the management of the laboratory and the use of laboratory infrastructure IPA /Biology in the learning process in SMA Negeri 12 and SMA Negeri 14, Pekanbaru Academic Year 2018/2019. This research is a descriptive survey with quantitative analysis. Respondents in this research were 171 respondents consisting of a biology teacher, biology laboratory managers and students of grade XI. The research data was collected through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Data from this study were analysis using a percentage formula. The results in this descriptive study shows that the condition of the carrying capacity of the facilities of the laboratory equipment Science/Biology in SMA Negeri 12 and SMA Negeri 14. Has meet the minimum standards that have been established viz. 1) Facility carrying capacity of existing infrastructure in space science laboratories/Biology has meet the minimum standards (85%). 2) Management of laboratory science/biology the very good (85%). 3) The use of laboratory science/biology that are in the minimum standards (83%).
