Abstract

Promotion is an inseparable part of product sales. With the right promotion, the level of product sales can increase. Currently, the promotional tools used in Pekanbaru furniture stores are still through print and electronic media. Current technology such as Marketplace or E-commerce which has become part of the new habit, but there is still no Marketplace or E-commerce that is specifically engaged in the furniture sector. Furniture companies need application features that are different from the marketplace in general, plus there are still many furniture companies that use leaflets or pamphlets as promotional media. Based on this, the author makes a web-based application as a promotional media which of course in this application can carry out promotions and furniture buying and selling transactions as a safe intermediary, because the admin will act as a third person who will save the transaction money until the goods from the furniture seller get to the hands buyer. In this application the programming language used is PHP, Javascript assisted with HTML and CSS. Codeigniter is used as a framework to get convenience and security in system management. Blackbox testing is carried out to test the function of the application made and based on the results of application testing to the user that the percentage index obtained is 86.33%, so this application can be an effective and efficient promotional media for furniture sellers, especially furniture stores in Pekanbaru.
