Abstract

Evaluation of Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) at the production well is essential in the process of developing a production field, and this evaluation can be known whether the pump is installed is operating in accordance with the plan or not. Oil production at the field will decrease with the decrease in reservoir pressure so that the decline in production rate, and decreasing working fluid level of the pump setting depth, and can also cause a decrease in the efficiency of the pump. Analysis of the ESP is very important to know the performance of the pump is installed can operate as expected, which results from the evaluation can be used for further planning with the aim of increasing the production rate. Optimization of pump is limited to pumps that are currently installed on wells BO_205, BO_305 and BO_307, because it is more efficient and save time. Of the three wells, the pump has an efficiency of volumetric too large, this is because the rate of production of the actual well BO_205 (103,16 %), BO_305 (112,50 %) dan BO_307 (103,32 %) is above the capability of the pump which would adversely affect the pump and cause pump overload (pump efficiency over 100%), then the wells BO_205, BO_305 and BO_307 need to re-design to improve the performance of the pump. After redesigned pump, volumetric efficiency in well BO_205 (89,35 %), BO_305 (84,09 %) dan BO_307 (87,70 %) is below 100 %.
