Abstract
This research was conducted in Dumai City. In connection with this research, which is used as an object is a reklame business in the city of Dumai. The problem in this research is whether the application of accounting used by the reklame business is appropriate or not with the basic accounting concepts that are generally accepted in carrying out the reklame business. The data collected is primary data and secondary data. The data collection method is in the form of interviews and observations. While the data analysis uses descriptive methods. Based on the results of research that has been done, it can be concluded that the application of accounting in the reklame business in the city of Dumai is not in accordance with the basic concepts of accounting that apply at this time.
