Abstract

The problem in this reseach is that the men's team's basketball ball throws are still missing or incorrect to teammates. This is caused by the muscle strength of the students' arms not yet maximized, this results in the ball being passed not reaching and being caught by teammates. This study aims to determine the contribution of arm muscle strength to the chest pass in the basketball game on the MTs Putera Team. Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru. This type of research is correlation. The population and sample in this reseach were the MTs Putera Team. Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru numbered 15 people. The data analysis technique used is the test r. Based on the results of the above analysis it can be concluded that there is a contribution of arm muscle explosive power to the chest pass in the basketball game on the MTs Putera Team. Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru by 41.99% with a count of 0.648> rtable 0.514.
